This grey haired doll is not for sale
Lately I have been making dolls and jewelry. A woman named Rose asked me to make a cloth doll. She wanted me to sculpt the face and not to worry if it doesn't turn out perfect.
When I worked on the doll I dropped one of the arms and it stopped falling with the hand touching the edge of my bed. I thought it was odd. When the doll was almost done once again I dropped her and she didn't fall all the way. Her arms were the only thing touching the side of the bed.
After I put her hair on I noticed she looked like a friend of mine who died a year ago of breast cancer. I had made her an Angel. I couldn't bring myself to sell her to Rose but decided to send her to a friend who cared deeply for the woman whom the doll resembeled. When I was ready to package and send her the doll disappeared. I found her last night hiding in a wicker shelf out of my reach in my bedroom last night.I decided I better keep her.
